Cueva del Puerto (Cave of the Pass) in Calasparra (Alicante)

The Cueva del Puerto (Cave of the Mountain Pass) is 70 km from Murcia.
It is located in a natural setting.
The cave can be visited for about 400 meters.
There is the possibility of practising speleotourism: an initiation into the fascinating world of caving.

PERSONAL VISIT
Some years ago we visited this cave.

By the parking lot is a large welcome building, only it was closed then.

The access path to the cave. It looks endlessly, but it is "only" 410 meter to the cave entrance.

 

The views are beautiful.
 
 

At the side of the path there is a chasm.

 

Finally you reach a cabin where the tickets were sold.

  Hypogenic morphology, one of the aspects that turns this cave into something unique .....

  .... although the decorations are not lacking either.

 

 We go deeper into the cave.

  Speechless.

 Stalactites, stalagmites, columns, etc.

The cave goes on.
